Thank you guys, so at least 2 happy drivers ... wink

I am working on some improvements to the R2 car class, as I am not totally satisfied with it.

In real life these cars are really expensive, buying one is not the problem, but the maintenance costs are huge because of the advanced technology built in.
So I will add some of the more advanced NGP features to deal with that ... wink

One small step for ... NGP 6:

New car available:
* Peugeot 208 R2

All class R2 cars updated (C2, Twingo, ADAM):
* adjustable, linear bump stops
* 3 final drive ratios (~157..185 kph)
* up to 75% diff lock

RBRCIT/carlist.ini updated.

Feel free to update the physics and test the new tiny little beast. wink

Bee, can you make NGP6 physics for this Peugeot 208 R2 https://dm3drbrevolution.blogspot.com/2019/02/peugeot-208-r2-v10.html ?
This model is much better than Jalonso.

Thank you very much for the hint.
I didn't know this one (or forgot about it due to the massive work ...). smile

I will switch to this model, if possible.

Here's 1 of 3.

001 - totalSteps - Tic (yes, kind of tic value)
002 - progress - drive line position in meters
003 - raceTime - Second
004 - speed - Kilometre Per Hour
005 - engineRotation - Revolution Per Minute
006 - gear - Number -1
007 - driveLineLocation - drive line position in meters (similar but I guess - from memory - not equal to progress)
008 - travelDistance - total distance travelled in meters (more than the "raw" distance, due to wheel spin etc)
009 - distanceToEnd - Metre (distance to finish line)
010 - stage - Number
011 - car - Number
012 - steering - Percentage /100 (left-right)
013 - throttle - Percentage /100
014 - brake - Percentage /100
015 - clutch - Percentage /100

017 - handbrakePressure - Pascal
018 - radiatorCoolantHeatState.temperature - Kelvin
019 - engineCoolantHeatState.temperature - Kelvin
020 - engineTemperature - Kelvin

car position in world 3D space in meters
021 - position.x - ?
022 - position.y - ?
023 - position.z - ?

velocities in world 3D space in meters per second
024 - vecRelativeLinearVelocity.x - ?
025 - vecRelativeLinearVelocity.y - ?
026 - vecRelativeLinearVelocity.z - ?

angular (=rotational) velocities in rad per second
027 - vecRelativeAngularVelocity.x - ?
028 - vecRelativeAngularVelocity.y - ?
029 - vecRelativeAngularVelocity.z - ?

dto. accelerations meters per square second
030 - vecRelativeLinearAcceleration.x - ?
031 - vecRelativeLinearAcceleration.y - ?
032 - vecRelativeLinearAcceleration.z - ?
dto. angular/rotational rad per square second
033 - vecRelativeAngularAcceleration.x - ?
034 - vecRelativeAngularAcceleration.y - ?
035 - vecRelativeAngularAcceleration.z - ?

same as before, but the "Car" postfix here means that all the values are in the car 3D space coordinates/axes
I guess these values make more sense to the average user.
With these values you may create a g-g diagram and the like.
036 - vecLinearVelocityCar.x - ?
037 - vecLinearVelocityCar.y - ?
038 - vecLinearVelocityCar.z - ?

Physics and model updated:
* Peugeot 208 R2 (model by DMRally74)

Nice model, at least the wheel base is now correct.

RBRCIT/carList.ini updated.

Please update and re-install that car.
As usual, recommended is to restore original cars first to get a clean file system.

The name follows M-Sport's designation.

See Fiesta R2.

Usually I follow the manufacturer's naming, and only append the homologated group if necessary, sometimes.
If I have homologation papers, I take the name from there.
But basically I do not like to use FIA's classes, as these change every now and then. wink
And, even if based on the R2T regulations, it still competes with cars like ADAM R2, which has a naturally aspirated engine.

I think we should let him prepare the most important cars first, so NGP 6 can be deployed on online tournaments as soon as possible. Then he can focus on adding such extra content or other improvements.

So, five cars per class are still not enough ?

I don't get the point of making another outdated n.a. engine car.
The Fiesta has the Ecoboost turbo engine, and I will not switch back to the old one.

After all that hard work, motivation is at level zero. sad

First of all - Big thanks to you, Günni, for the hard, great work you do for the hole community ! !
Not only NGP now #6, the Beast - Pacenote-Plugin , FixUp, Training-day & Setup-Manager - all great parts, they will make RBR stable and even better !

I have one question, i think to read - but i didn`t find it anywhere - that now we can install a FWD car on all slots ? Was this right or not ? ! Rolling Eyes
The reason is, that i will test all FWD cars direct, without close RBR install the next and so on. Thank you in advance for your response !

I love NGP6 and hope that your motivation is coming back soon, because it is the best ever - do it a bit like i do it - ignore some things a bit more ... biggrin

5 cars per class is enough i think, because there are only a few ones they used all the time - the rest will not really used cry

And one time more - Thanks for your great work for all of us - best regards :

there is no problem of installing FWD on slots 0134567

there is only a problem with 4x4 on slot 2

fwd on 4x4 slot will result in 200% damage of the missing diffs at the service - logical thing, when you think like a computer. but this has no affect to driving, bcs computer just could not find the part on the car, which never existed.

never tested what happend to a 4x4 on mg_zr, but i suspect, lock maps will be gone, setups will not fit or some other strange things can happen in that case. i really never have put a 4x4 car on slot 2, but often fwd on 0134567, so it is like this smile

i hope you can understand what i wrote, trying to wake up m mind still biggrin

It was only a question. I have friends with that Fiesta R2 model and I would like to be able to use it in the game. But if you don't want to do it, I understand.

PMSRT hat folgendes geschrieben:

I love NGP6 and hope that your motivation is coming back soon, because it is the best ever - do it a bit like i do it - ignore some things a bit more ... biggrin

I agree... EVERYONE who actually tested it reports me the same thing - this is going to be real game changer in the rally simulation!

WorkerBee, don't forget the important thing - you can't get the clear idea of how the community really appreciates and is interested into your work, because:

- only few people have actually tested the physics due the complicated installation (sorry to say that, but RBRCIT is quite buggy and not very intuitive program, while only fraction of people can use Total Commander etc. to install necessary files manually)
- also, even there are many people which can handle the installation process, they rather wait (understandably) for the final release / deployment on a server to avoid braking their current NGP 5 installations
- it is very difficult to register into this forum, even in my case I almost gave up after countless attempts to fill that bloody difficult captcha (I believe that bots will be more successful than humans with this one), you need to use German -> English translator if you can't speak German etc...
- many people are even afraid (or can't at all) communicate in english

... so maybe we should even be happy that we get these few people providing some feedback here!

So please don't give up! On the other side, I can imagine how complex & time demanding your RBR work is, so if you feel you have enough at this moment, maybe consider taking a break before burning out completely - I know what I am talking about, trust me...

Still I really hope something like this won't happen because you are creating something RALLY SPECIAL here smile Your work is going to set the new standards of the rally simulation for next many years (together with the new content we have talked about wink ).

Thank you!

Hello, workerbee, this is greetings from China. Thank you for all you have done, making RBR never outdated. NGP is really great and unique.

Although racing is very unpopular in China, especially rally racing, it still has many fans in different degrees. The RBR group here has more than 400 people. Perhaps only a few dozen or hundreds of people still insist on playing RBR. Almost all of them have given very high comment to RBR and NGP, including some real rally drivers. One of the real rally driver thinks that DR2.0 is better than NGP5 and then better than DR. He has not tested NGP6. Yes, many people have not tested NGP6, probably because the content is not perfect. The biggest problem is that tools such as CIT are really inconvenient for us to use. Even though I have explored the manual installation method and written the tutorial, there are still many people who cannot install NGP.

It would be great if RBR's tools could be as convenient to use as Assetto Corsa's tools. Also, the improvement of graphics and sound effects is also expected by many people.

Don't give up, workerbee, NGP is still one of the best physics. I haven't bought DR2.0 yet, so I can't compare it. But I have seen the comments of rally players on our side on NGP6, and only one person gave a low opinion. Yes, your hard work defeated any fast talker.

I also have a suggestion that maybe the WRC1 car can be completed first. I think many players prefer to run WRC1 cars. It's just my personal opinion. What I hope more is that you can do it according to your own wishes. Looking forward to the day of the official release, I can give DR2.0 a negative feedback.

Finally, thank you again for all you have done, thank all modder, you have done amazing work, so rally fans can better simulate and experience real rally. smile smile
