Look at this picture. You mean, its allright? Its against logic..

I myself have absolutely no in-depths technical knowledge about hydraulic breaking systems. But I do know that pretty much all road cars have much larger brake disks in the front than in the rear. That would make for a different balance even if the same pressure is applied in the system.
With current rally cars, it seems to be a bit different. The Fabia R5 for example has the same brake disc diameters front and rear. The '17 Fiesta WRC has equal sizes on gravel, but a little bit smaller brake discs on the rear in tarmac spec. Both based on quick Google research.
Maybe the older WRCs had even higher differences in the disc diameters?

The reason behind it could of course be a completely different one. Must be a lot more complicated I reckon, otherwise Bee just would have explained the reason for that behavior in one sentence...

Ye, its good explain. But Fabia R5 have 355x32 in front and 300x32 on rear.

That depends.

https://www.customspeed.at/2017/04/24/brembo-skoda-fabia-r5-update-042017/

I have thousands of documents, have modeled 200 cars, and always have to make compromises or assumptions about which of the various sources is correct or trustworthy.

Several sources claim 355/355 for the R5 tarmac spec.
So I used this combination, as it is anyway better for the brake temperatures in the long run, especially when drivers do a lot of LFB(raking).

About the brake pressures in the setup:
As WBK pointed out, it is not that simple.
Depends on piston diameters/areas, number of pistons, size of disc, size of pads, COF, wheel diameter, static/dynamic load on tyre, ..., all this is crucial and calculated/simulated.

So, it just does not make sense to make a screenshot and apply some arbitrary "logic" here. wink

Hello Bee,
I was today on testing cars before season by technical marshall and there was my friend with Skoda Fabia R5. I spoke with him about your physics and so, and he explain me and shows some things. You are right with the steering lock. Its not so much as in a basic car. But he has 540° steering and he told me, that he never used it at all, including in hairpins. Maximum, what he used is about 135° on one side.. so he try to explain, that the steering is very sharp.

Next thing, what he explain is brakes. He told, that there is no central diff, brakes is on fix. He told, that if he get front brakes down, it will be no difference in brake bias, because of non central diff, all mechanical things will brakes a front of car. So brake bias is always same, he no need regulator because it will be uneffective.
He said, you can put front brake disc on rear, it will be 355/355 front/rear, but he used 355 on front and 300 on rear. But, in generally, brake bias will be same, as I wrote up.

We talk about suspension too, he told me, front and rear suspensions is same, you can put RL to FR for example, it will be same. But in Skoda Motorsport its only some springs, which is develop on this car. I screened a data sheet. So its not like in RBR now, that you can adjust whatever you want. Its same with Slow and Fast compresion and rebound. Its only several clicks, which you can see on data sheet in link.

About weight bias, he said, Fabia R5 is 55:45 on tarmac and 56:44 on gravel. You can see it in data sheet. He told me, if he had a Fabia WRC, and on old WRC and on new WRC it is weight bias 50:50.

He told me, that he tries a lots of "rally sims" but no one have a clearly steering. This is what I said too. In RBR, if you set wheel on 540° which is on real, you cant handle a Fabia R5 or WRC. The steering must be sharp !

Here is datasheet from Fabia R5.

New feature available, adjustable handbrake pressure in the differential torque menu:

Klicke auf das Bild um das Bild in der Originalgröße zu öffnen.

NGP Plugin updated to version 6.0.733.395 !

All car physics updated !

Please update the plugin and "all existing physics" via the RBRCIT menu as usual.

R5 cars modified to ~55/45 weight distribution.

Handbrake pressure settings per default are t/g/s 100/75/80%.

Just another parameter I can do wrong in my shitty standard setups. biggrin
Feel free to complain as usual. I won't care anyway ...

Have fun and a nice weekend, testing. smile
